2000 Honda Accord - Rear disc brake pad replacement
I am planning on replacing the rear disc brake pads on my 2000 Honda Accord this weekend. I bought the Adaptive One Hybrid Ceramic pads along with high temp grease, disc brake piston tool, and a can of brake cleaner. The parts guys said I didn't need any anti-squeal material for these pads and that I didn't need to add high temp grease to the pad retainers. Sound right?
Also, the parts counter at the local Honda dealer mentioned that I should use 80 grit sandpaper on the brake rotor to remove any glaze. Does this sound right and if so, is there a specific type of 80 grit sandpaper I should be using?
