I know that the 2000-2001 Intake cams are the same as the CTR cams but the 98 itr cams are different. Is there a difference with the JDM 98 itr cams?? Or are they same as the USDM?

Since 00-01 Type R Intake Cames are identical to the CTR cams... would it be worth it for me to change out my 98 ITR cam to a 00/01 or CTR cam?

 

I doubt it would make much difference. Not worth the time and money IMO.

 

I would only do it if you had it for cheap. Plus it's just the intake cam. WIth the money spent you can get aftermarket ones.

 

I would only swap cams to put in spoon or maybe even Toda spec A's.

 

the differences is only on the intake cam , exhaust cam for 01 ,98 and ctr is the same .
as 01 is not the same (very close ) but not the same off by 1 degree of duration .
ctr has 3 degrees over 98 spec and 1 degree over 01. but most people go with 01 cause is not going to make much of a difference (unless that you are changing them from a B18c1 or b16a ) but the 01 intake cam is cheaper then getting a ctr intake cam ...

I would just go with after market cams. JUN 3's, are a hell of a lot better than CTR's.
