I know this is real early to even ask this but it will help a lot of us if the Racing promoters can try to give us a tentative race schedule for 2010 ASAP. I totally understand track contracts, scheduling, etc. in that they do take time and money in planning them out. This is just an early request to help some of us racers in preparing for next year. Please keep us informed and not let us know last minute.
The reason we’re concerned with bringing this up early is that we lost a nice chunk of sponsorship funds last year since we couldn’t present a solid schedule to a big sponsor. It started out with a REAL good amount of money. As weeks passed, we couldnt present anything and the amount got smaller and smaller. Until they couldnt wait anymore and lost trust in promoting in the SC drag scene. The deals involved marketing material for promotions, car wrap/graphics, and travel money so it isnt a spur of the moment thing. There's preparation involved. We tried to give a tentative schedule based on previous years and event locations, but you really cant build a case for yourself if you don’t have something that’s set in stone. Who would hand out a check to a racer when there’s not even a game plan to begin with.
Especially in these economic hardships, getting these sponsors that are WILLING to help are very hard to find. So we need to inform them as much as we can to get the deals approved. They are already extending their arms with a check in hand, but it’s contingent on convincing them that you are going somewhere to race, you’re promoting to the best of your ability and that they are going to get their return on their investment.
Since we will be racing mostly in the West, I’m concerned about certain race events so I’m focusing my attention on certain tracks and events that will apply to us. But this is also for those other racers out there in the South, the NorthEast, Midwest, etc. I’m sure they would appreciate the information as well.
So to IFO, Battle, CMI, NSCRA and other event organizers, please keep us in the loop. Please start early in getting a schedule together, preferably by end of the year. I’m not sure about other sponsors, but the ones we were talking to are getting their yearly marketing budget done by January and they’re closing deals now and if we’re too late, we’ll lose out again this year.
Sorry for the long post. To those that this is directed to, thank you for reading and considering this request.
P.S. Many of the sponsors are NOT motorsport industry companies. They do not understand race schedules on how and when they come out. All they see is return on investment and how much they have to spend. That involves budgets and corporate approvals, etc. Lets get these sponsors to trust in our sport again. We need your help!

Thanks for the updates Cliff. Chad, get us the schedule as soon as you can. It helps out alot in planning.
I dont know the backstory on Vegas(LVMS) but any event there is always a good turnout. I mean, who DOESNT want to go to Las Vegas to race. I mean, Etown is cool for the hyped up people and die hard racers, but how can you turn down Racing and partying all in the same weekend. haha.
