Default Calling out, MidwestAutoWorks.....

all right here we go, i thought this would get the best response...

I purchased an almost complete k20a2 swap from this guy for 1665.00 shipped to a local roadway hub, i was kinda of skeptical on the price but he assured me it was a legit swap. "pulled from a wrecked in the rear type s ".....and "i drained the fluids, so youll need new ones".Another one i like that he said was"i saw it run and it is perfect, no smoke or leaks"

so i paypal'd him the money on wednesday last week...He says, "call me when it gets there". i picked up the motor yesterday, brought it home and was damn this thing is really covered with mud.....started to clean it up and i pulled the oil drain plug to make sure all the old oil was out.......and much to my dismay i received 2+ gallons of water from the pan and about 2qts of filthy oil......so i call him, no answer, no suprise. infact i called about 6 times.

so i start look up his post and such, he said nothing was wrong with the swap in one thread, told me it was fine in the one i posted in(which has been deleted) and in another for sale thread he says the car was flood damaged!!!!i was like WTF!!!!!so here i am stuck with a junk swap and he wont answer my calls...

this swap is completely destroyed,Tranny, motor, pretty much everything

ok tony im being nice so far and havent labled you a scammer.....PLEASE CONTACT ME SO I DONT HAVE TO TAKE LEGAL OR PAYPAL ACTION....u got my number but JIK its 3012687333

here are the pics i just took

half the water

nice tranny and clutch

nice cams, huh?

i got about 1/2 gallon out of the intake....

i still have every pm

I spoke with Jordan and offered a full refund if he shipped it back, he refused and wants me to send him 1000 dollars and he keep the motor.

I will not do that.

My threads for the motors clearly state the car was in a flood

do i need to take a snap shot of my phone for missed calls, i have 1 missed call yesterday, 1 missed today and I call you back asap today.

Im trying to be helpful and resolve this.

I do not tear down motors before i send them out

The car was a runs and drives guarantee at the auction i bought it from.

I drained all fluids before i sent it to you. I do not know where that came from that is in your pics.

Option 1. you send the motor back and i will refund you the full amount

Option 2. I will send you 500 dollars and you keep the full setup

Option 3. File a paypal dispute, I have proof that i sent you the motor and I did not misrepresnt it.

Option 4. Sue me. Once again I have proof I sent the motor and did not misrepresent it

The original on that was deleted and put sold the day you bought it.

You have 4 options now.

I hope that helps.

you gonna reply or call or what, im starting to calm down, i want to work this out so we are both ahppy, i think 1000.00 is fair considering if you dont take that deal you ll b payin almost 2000.00 to get your flooded swap back, im not driving back to the roadway hub Which is 70 miles from my house where i drove to get it, youll have to pay fuel surcharge and home pick up ya know?

I just saw this thread and felt horrible!!

I was going to be the original buyer of the RSX that the swap came out of but when I got to Tony's shop(drove 5 hours), my first impression was WTF. The whole car looked to have been submerged in water (probably a river or something) for a day or two as everything was starting to rust.

The whole car was still wet and there were dry mud everywhere (cluster, headlights, seats, etc). The whole electrical system was shot as well, hence I couldnt get the motor to start. I figure if it was submerged then the motor and trans was probably shot (hydrolocked or tons or dirt and water). Hell, I couldnt even get gear 1 or 2 to pop in gear while I was in the car. The whole engine bay was rusting so bad as well.

Im glad I left without it or I would have your problem. Im just sorry to say that I didnt see his for sale thread earlier to warn people.

Can't believe you actually sold this swap Tony. Shame on you!!!

You knew that the RSX was flooded from top to bottom. They had to use chains to hook it up from the moon roof to drag it out of the water. You're a better seller then this Tony, give the man his hard earn money back! There's no way CO-Part couldve had started that motor before they sold it to you as none of the electrical worked. Hell, if you wouldve told me that, I wouldnt had drove 5 hours down and 5 hours right back!

Im generally an easy going guy, but you've gone too far this time. I didnt even care about the time and gas money i used to drive down there when I trusted that the car was still in good condition and everything works as **** happens but to sell it after we both knew what you had is just shady.

GL OP and I hope you get your money back

i know what its like to be scammed and it sucks, but if hes offering a full refund then i would take it. better to loose ~$400 than $1200 plus whatever it cost to rebuild that mess of a motor.

wow man that sucks,i would say if he will give you the money back then send it back but the shipping is whats messed up.think about it like this, you can take the shipping for a loss and atleast get most of your money back minus the shipping.that motor is complete junk.
btw if anyone here thinks that they can get this swap for that cheap must be super gullible.that shoulda been the first sign of a scam or something that wasnt what it was.it was simply 2 good 2 b true.
i hope that the issue gets taken care of.

im not losing any money here......he will not call me back now, but if he wont take my deal than ive got suffecient evidence showing that he never indicated to me that there was anything wrong with this, ill do a paypal and he can pay to have it shipped back, which by the time hes done will be around 1900-2000.00 for what so he can have a **** *** k swap that he wont be able to sell for any more than 500.00....he sounds like a nice guy though offering a refund though huh....to bad he lied right to me from the begining
