GSR motor, if I would to run a chipped ecu instead of the stock p72 what difference could it make it I ran at the track?

 

Well, if you chip the ecu it allows someone to tune the car to get the most out of your current combination of parts and that is really the only time they are beneficiary.

If your motor is relatively stock or you are just using a basemap to try to improve the cars performance.. I would sugget just leaving it with the stock ecu.

How about if I were to do a b20/vtec or a ls/vtec. Would a chipped ecu do a great difference?

 

with a good tune, YES.

had my b16 re chipped and tuned, im happy with the results considering only mods are just IHE, felt better, next would be having it dynoed for a base run
