dropping in a jdm gsr engine, into my 92 cx this weekend...
read a whole lot of hybridhonda posts on their forum. my friend dave is helping out, he's pretty damn knowledgeable, so i shouldn't have too many problems...

just wanted to know if you guys have any pointers or things i should avoid.

what kind of problems did you guys run into?

Just make sure you have everything you need, and do all of your research, before you start. Take your time, and do it right, and make sure you have a little extra cash for odds and ends. You never know what you might need.

For example I thought I was done, as I was going to drive my car home the other day I popped the hood to see coolant spraying out of a crack in my radiator . So I had to go buy a new one, which set me back a little. Just be preppared, and good luck with it.

 

In order to get my b18c in we had to tilt it and drop it all the way to the ground in the engine bay(onto a tire) then lift it back up strait. Don't even waste your time trying to drop it in from abve strait.. Its almost impossible.. we tried that first, wasted about 30 minutes. Just my input.. Good luck!

 

it took quite a bit of maneuvering to get it in my rex too, but you just have to take a step back and re-evaluate things sometimes. Then work through it like you did. Take these example into mind, and just stay cool. You'll be able to work around almost anything that should arise.
