Default D15b7 Block with a D16a6 head

The previous owner put the a6 head on the b7 block. The car never ran right so I got it cheap my questions is what can I do to make it run right. I dont want to do a swap right away because of the cash but need it running asap. The car has a p06 ecu in it. It will start and stay running with no power as long as you keep the idle high but as soon as it sarts to idle down it dies. I cheak sensors and they all look good. I might be able to get my hand on a ecu for that head but no sure if it is plug and play or will even fix the problem.

Just replace the cam gear with one from a d16y7/8 and it should run fine. The gear is to correct for the 4.5deg timing difference between the a6 and b7 cams.

I bought an adjustable cam gear and put that on and adjusted for the timing issue now it stays running but when you are driving it feels like the motor is stumbling and has no power. Also under braking to stop at a red light the car idles down to around 700 rpms then dies.
