i think jake has the mfactory gear set !!!!!

 

He does now, but he hasn't always had it, but maybe he got it before he started trapping higher. I know a few people have ran low 160's on it.

 

I ran 144 with a stock gsr peg legged tranny a few years back.

 

the reason i asked its cuz on sunday we went 163.30mph on stock gsr gear set .

Either way you guys are hauling the mail! Amazing trapping that high without the tranny breaking.

 

yeah dude we learned some tricks from clm fernando and the trannys last us about 15 to 25 passes before they break if we lucky!!!!!

I think Tony has gone 9.46 @ 164 on a stock GSR tranny back in 06?? When the NOPI series were around. Maybe he will chime in. (I remember reading this somewhere in an old D sport i believe).

I ran 150mph on a stock welded diff civic Std 4 spd with my sohc and then 150 again when u put the gsr tranny on it

 

Can you just make a thread with your secret and help everybody. Has anybody ever ran a oil cooler on the honda tranmissions, I heard it helped the dsm guys a lot with breakage?

there's really not a secret to it its just a matter of trying stuff out see what works better besides the quaife and the handcuff everything else its stock we grind 1st gear synchro and we get rid of the reverse synchro older gears but in good condition or heat treated gears work really good. dont get us wrong we have broken alot trannys but after trying different oils and different gears (old) and (new) stock gears of course. we came to the conclusion that honda mtf and lucas stop slip stabalizer oil really works and older gears hold up alot more than brand new gears .

everybody has different theory's and different opinions this is just what works for us

 

How about everybody learn on their own, I can't stand copy cats!

 

um yeah ok, spreading knowledge is what this sports about, not every one has the resources to waste on trying every thing under the sun.

 

learning on your own =$$$$$$$$$$$$$ if some one can help you out why not? why be an a-hole about it?just look at what miller did this past weekend,the opposite of "learn on your own" what he did is great for the sport!
