Help, B18C Skunk2 intake manifold runners
Okay,
I have a Skunk2 part # 307-05-0270 intake manifold with B18C1 written right on the box
I have an Edelbrock part # 15042 intake manifold gasket with B18C1 written right on the package
I have a B18C JDM OBD1 GSR engine
My problem is this...the runner ports on the gasket don't match the ports on the manifold exactly. The mounting bolt patterns match, but the runner ports are slightly off. I haven't ripped off my intake manifold on my engine yet so I don't know which one is right (if either). Is it possible a JDM engine has a different bolt pattern?
Any input would be appreciated, thanks.

im guessing that the edelbrock gasket it probablly made to go with the performer x intake manifold which might have slightly smaller runner ports, i had a jdm b18c with a skunk2 intake manifold and i ran a oem gasket and it matched right up
That is exactly the answer I was hoping to hear, thanks a lot!
Do you know if it would be okay to trim the gasket, or should I just order another one? (I do plan on turbocharging in the future by the way)

I would NEVER trim or modify a gasket to make it fit, especially when your talking about the intake mani. that sounds like a leak or blowout waiting to happen, especially if you plan to boost it. order the correct one and call it a day
I appreciate the input and would agree except I have read from certain part descriptions (and I quote)
"...They provide excellent sealing and durability and can be trimmed if needed for modified ports...[suitable for] high performance street, drag race, and oval track applications."
but your probably still right...begging for trouble
This description is of a Mr. Gasket manifold gasket, not the Edelbrock one I have. Could you point me towards an appropriate gasket for a lightly turbo (<10psi) engine or is Mr. Gasket allright?
