CRX SiR vs Si Front Brake Assembly
First of all I searched. And this is what i found.
https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...+si+sir+brakes
I need to do a front disc conversion on my HF but I'm having trouble finding Si fronts. But I have found multple SiR fronts.
I'm just wanting some clarification/a second opinion on the matter.
Are Si and SiR front brake assembly the same? And more specifically, are the rotors different sized?
TIA

"SiR front calipers, rotors, and pads are the same as a DA GSR. the rear brakes on an SiR are the same as any DA integra."

So I would believe that yes they are a little bit bigger, as I think DA's are a bit larger than the Si's.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

The Si are the same as the DX and employ a 9.5" disc.
The SiR on the ither hand are like the DA as stated by dephtone and use a 10.3" disc and larger calipers.

Here is the link to powerslots site for the si rotors.

But then, here is the DX

Part numbers don't match. So that's why I'm just trying to confirm that the Si discs that I have will work with the DX hub.

More info on your original post -
si-R knuckle is significantly beefier (weighs more, but if you road race it's nice to have the added insurance in case you go off track)
Not only does the si-R use the sedan EX/Integra disc, but it also uses the larger integra bearing (sedan EX uses smaller bearing) - large bearing is nice if you do any high speeds for long durations. Larger bearing stays cooler.
si-R knuckle requires modification to the outer tie-rod - you have to cut some threads off the end. If you don't, then you will have severe alignment problems with the toe being way out.
Never tried it, but it might be possible to keep the dust guard on the inside of the bearing if you have a B swap. Usually you have to pull this guard out for a swap, but since the si-R came with the B motor then the axles might just fit with the guards in there.
