I am haivng difficulty seating the drive axles into the transmission housing. I had to replace a mainshaft bearing and cv boots. Upon reinstalling the axles the amount of clearance has changed in the tranny. I measured the drivers side inboard joint as 2 5/8" and the passenger side inboard as 3 1/16". The available depth in the housing is 2 3/8" on both sides. The differential assembly has a dowel/pin that the axle shafts bottom out at and there is no play that I can visibly see.
