JDM ITR Front end conversion... How is it? Worth it?
Im contemplating about getting the JDM ITR conversion. Alot of you guys on here have it so i need some input please. How much did everything cost, including installation, paint, etc. Was all the work worth it? Fiber glass versus metal? Do they come with HID's?? What exactly needs to be cut and welded? Thanks in advanced.
The JDM conversion from what I've seen is several hundred over 2,000. Then you're gonna pay to get it painted and installed. I guess you might be able to install it yourself but, you gotta get that JDM radiator support welded on professionally I suppose.
They do come with HID but you're gonna pay an arm and a leg to get that along with the kit. (About an additional 1000-1200-?) It's expensive cause it's "OEM." I would say maybe get the NON-HID conversion, then buy a HID kit and get the HID housings for the car. This way you'll have a nice blanket of white light with the OEM HID housings, and no hot spots.
Maybe you can save $$ by buying the JDM front end piece by piece. That's what I'm considering. Oh well that's my .02
Peace

i paid 3000, shipped with VIS Carbon Fiber hood, non HID, all new OEM sheetmetal parts. Do NOT BUY FIBERGLASS. it costs another 2500-3000 for a GOOD installation.
I bought half of the sh*t piece by piece cause I had some cash over from getting hit. Piece by piece is what I did and I think it's the best cosmetic change you could possibly do to you integra. Do some reaserch too, it helps from getting ripped.
i have one and i paid 2100 shipped with a carbon fiber hood. fiberglass version though. the quality is good and i did the installation. my friend painted it for $1000. all in all it came out great. looks real good. but is it worth it? ive only spend about $3000 for the front and a new paint job. but if i can go back in time. i wouldnt have bought it. it looks cool, but its not worth it. thats just my $0.02

I had an integra.. and i love the conversion and would have done it eventually... I think its the single best cosmetic thing you can do to an integra.

No, buya turbo.
Amen my brotha.
Amen my brotha.
Turbo would be the way to go if you care about performance(don't let those new 215hp Dodge Neons destroy us), but if you just want a car that looks cool(without *****) get the JDM conversion.
I was thinking of doing the conversion with a 5 lug conversion as well...but $$$ isnt flowing so I'll stick to the USDM look...lol
thanks for the compliments. i havent decided on the rims yet. i have about $2000 worth of stuff sitting at my friends shop, as soon as he sells them i will buy rims. basically my story was, i had an accord, it go stolen, and got $11k for it. i bought the teg for 4grand and put the jdm front and a b20 in it. so total, with the my parts at my friends shop, i built the car for 10grand including the car. thanks again for the compliments even though the pictures werent the best.
