Most likely you bent your valves and possiblely damaged your valvetrain and pistons depending on your rpm.

did you remove valve cover to diagnose this ? or remove timing cover ? .. how are you able to pull over, pop your hood, and say to yourself "Yes, its my timing belt, its gone" ??

What I'm trying to say is .. are you sure your timing belt is gone ? You might be looking at a different belt for all I know.

Honda blocks are bulletproof, so I hear.

Put a timing belt on and check the compression; go from there.

timing belt cover is off....my rpm was at around 3-4rpms...wats my best bet on damage to the block, i hit fifth gear for like 5 seconds then you can feel the car pull back i hit the gas but car wasnt moving car died after that also, so i pulled over and looked the belt was gone.....

You can try the timing set & see if you get lucky, but I'd go on & pull the head & have it checked, your block is probably OK unless a valve punched a hole in a piston

Had a similar thing happen to me only mine broke moving from a dead stop at a stop light. The bad thing is that H22 are zero clearance engines and you more than likely have bent a valve. The only way to know for sure is to put a new belt on. (If you are doing it yourself you are in for a treat.) Then check the compression on each cylinder. When mine went out I also switched to a manual timing belt tensioner which works better than the hydrolic ones that come on the H22's. I did the work all myself so if you have any questions let me know.

the best thing to do is get a service manual for the prelude it'll walk you step by step. i got one off of e-bay that was downloaded to my computer for about $10. Yes, the manual tensioner comes off of the h23. The crankshaft pulley bolt is a beast unless you have an impact wrench. I have some write ups on the tensioner on my home computer I'll try to post later.
