Default 97 civic dx coupe, and 98 dx hatch

i have researched this topic but i cant find a straight answer.
i want to use my apexi ws2 on my 98 hatch. they are both a dx.
i havnt picked up the hatch yet and need to know if it fits or not.
all i can find is people saying what they can use in order for an ex to fit my dx, no.
i cany believe no has tryed this. will i need to cut the and weld the axleback to make it shorter? i assume the mid pipe is all the same lengths( dx mid pipe)?

I am not 100% sure on this, but going from a logical standpoint, the wheel bases of the two vehicles are the same. So the mid pipe should be the same and the only difference would be the axle back. I'm assuming you will have to hack and weld. Hope someone else chimes in that knows for sure.

if the exhaust is made for the coupe then it will be too long for the hatch ... if its for the hatch then it will be too short .. simple as that ... doesnt matter that they are both dx as they both have the cat on the header
