Where is ecu connector
No on a 1988 CRX It is under the hood on the shock tower and it should be yellow. I can't seem to recall which side it is on though. Also the only thing you need the two pin connector for is setting the timing. The codes are read by watching the ECU LED blink. (just in case you didn't know)

Ide check the fuel system first, maybe a clogged fule filter you have 2 the primary is at the tank and the secondary is under the passager side door. It could also be a bad distributor or a a TPS, unless its carborated
WTF are you talking about??? You must not know anything about Hondas... There is a filter sock IN the tank ON the fuel pump and a fuel filter ON the passenger side firewall under the hood.
Are you aware that you are on a Honda site? 88~91 ED chassis fuel injected models?
