alright i met up with some guy who was intrested in trading his 88 crx si with a gsr swap with a chipped p28 for my 91 std(its really clean)

everything looked ok but wen he tried to turn it on it made this horrible screeching sound and he had to gas it to get it goin.

anyone know wat it might be?

What was he trying to turn on, the car I assume? It is called starting it... I can turn my car "on" by putting the key in the ignition and moving it to the 1 or 2 slot. The screeching sound when the motor started could be a belt slipping most likely the alternator belt. As far as having to press the pedal down to get it to start could mean a lot of different things. Fouled plugs, idle screw not set right, poor fuel pressure, blah blah blah......
