congrats on winning low E.T. bounty!

what an amazing weekend! crazy to say the least...

we started out pretty good but soon turned out to be a looong *** night! our first qualifier we went out and nailed a 9.12@161.9 on the 24" tire! ive been consistently pulling power out of the tune so kevin can get down the track for a while now but the chips are starting to line up so i think we are FINALLY making some forward progress as we are getting the kinks out. anyone who doesnt think this neon can fly just ask miller or keller how much timing we run lol

second round of qualifying we went out and got a good burnout only to have one of the starters damn near jumping through the windshield of the car yelling back it up...we popped out a freeze out plug and spilled water down. (seriously i think the guy yelling was half retarded but thats another story) we get back to the pits and start checking things out and cant find a damn thing wrong. i put the plug back in ..big thanks to miller's camp,ballard and keller for lending us some stuff we needed! but it was only to find out we shot one out of the back of the block too! ugh.. compression is good...no leakdown..water in the oil..no clues.. anyway i ripped the head off hoping to find the headgasket blown between a water jacket but still nothing...about 3am i had to walk away and go get a beer (thanks again miller lol) those guys were still up bbqing. i guess karma has a way of working its magic because i helped aldo get his axle straightened out and when i got back we were talking about the car and the only place i didnt check for the other plug was behind the trans cooler..take a wild guess where the plug was !
got everything together and fell asleep a couple times standing up and surprisingly wasnt pushing any coolant (some freaking nasa grade stopleak might have helped with that)

first round of eliminations we lucked out because kevin spun like mad and chopped three times but still managed to squeak by with a .55@161...mireles would have handed us our *** if his brakes didnt lock up.(sorry about your luck dude)

second round we were up against reynolds who was running 9.0's so we said F it and put the 26's on the car and turned up the power..unfortunately we didnt think we would blow the tires off the rims like a fuel car with the 26's but we did.right off the hit kevin jumped about 12 inches out of the groove ,couldnt recover and you cant do that against reynolds

all in all it was still a great event! at least we got a new PB and we have a real good clue what we need to do with the car so it can eat! congrats to everyone for such an awesome weekend and cant wait to do it again soon...hopefully we will be in the 8 sec mix when it comes time for MIR

congrats man, you busted your *** to get it back together. Thanks for the bounty. Its great to have companies like yourself supporting the sport.

I was tryin to pull more fuel on friday night but it seemed as though I couldnt take enough out. 10.0 af's for the win. lol.

Lets throw 10 degree's at it tomorrow night and let the ****er eat. I am down to change the engine if it gets hurt but I dont think it will.

Congrats again to you and Kevin. He is by far one of the most dedicated racers out there.

 

oh i know it... we switched to 2 pumps and changed the reg and i didnt get into the tune till this weekend..in some spots i took out about 18% lol
