how about raise your car up to an acceptable functional ride height and then ask about offset
then why buy lowering kits?
then why buy lowering kits?

Lowering kits are bought to lower the car to a funtional ride height... But if u want to do a ricer drop thats up to you....

man...slammed cars are the best. i dont know why people brag about how much trouble it is. so what if your wheels rub the fenders. i know it wears the tire down but the slammed look is ok in my book! get around a 42 offset and tuck that shiet!
stock is 45 offset for 15x6" wheel
what will fit, will depend not only on the wheel size but also on a tire
for 15x6.5" wheel 38-42offset will work without any problems
for 7" wheel 37-40offset will also clear
tire choice: 195/50R15 or 195/45R15, nothing wider or with higher sidewall

Like the slammed look eh? Here is mine on max drop. 3.5" Terrible camber, terrible off-set. LOL Tirewear anyone?
i really doubt that u get better cornerning, if not worse.
dont really recommend it.
the most i'll go is about 2inches drop.

and not enough suspension travel.

The car is no longer at that ride height. I just wanted to see how low it would go one day, so I lowered it and took some pics. Right now I am more at 2.75" I would think. Definitely rides better raised up a tad.

don't think it's a ricer... that's my style of riding...

When you talk about offset what are you refering to??? I am not quite clear on that...sorry for the noob question.
also would i still be able to ride low on 16 inch c8's, what is their width? would 195 be fine or would it be too narrow for 16s?

I run a 7" wheel with 40mm offset. In retrospect, I should have gone with a 45mm offset. If you have a 6.5" or 6.0" rim, you can get away with 40mm, but wit a 7" you need the outter edge of the rim to be tucked a little bit more inside the fender lip than a 40mm offset gives.
for 16's you should get 205/45's. you should try to get the closest offset to the stock wheels. the offset i would get if i were u is 45 offset with the 16's.
try to stay away from 40 offset because it might rub, depending how low you drop the car.
just go 1.75 or 2 inches with 45 offset and u should be a happy camper.
good luck.
we all were newbs at one point so dont worry about it.
im a newb myself but i've learned a lot after coming to honda-tech. com

I have GC Coilovers all the way down with KYB Struts.... I ride on stock Si wheels with 205/50/15 Kumho tires... only rubs in a lock to lock turn...

And as far as handling goes... when i had my TE-37s w/ 205/40/16 Toyo Proxy FZ4's, pulled 1.01 lateral G's clockwise, and 1.02 g's counterclockwise on a Gtech in a parking lot... probably could have gotten a bit more, but i didnt wanna draw too much attention...
Then again, i'm sure my mugen rear sway, rear tie bar, rear strut bar and ITR Front strut bar helped too...
One of these days i'm gonna take a picture of my car lifting the rear wheel off the ground...

thats my ride with 400 and 380SR im all the way down further than GC will go ( i have freinds at GC and they showed me some lil tricks to get it lowered)
and one last thing why the **** does it matter how low some one elses car is if they want it low then there gona have to pay the prices camber wear, possiblity of a blow out and dragging the fram ya i know all that **** but i love my ride low and thats how it gona be and CAMBER IS GOOD FOR HANDELING most road race cars have 3 degrees plus negative camber and if you wana see some bad camber look at GC 4 door civic race car ya thats bad camber but you want something with a stock or close to stock offset i now have SI wheels on my car but when i had the rota i had like a 38 offset and it was pretty bad i rubbed alot.
and for those fools who buy the eibach pro kit or what ever that lowers your car 1.25 inchs what a waste of money not only did you not get astetics(SP) but your car isn't gona handle any better either.

"how about raise your car up to an acceptable functional ride height and then ask about offset"
"then why buy lowering kits?"
when i said an acceptable ride height. i meant lowered to a point that still serves a purpose. many people just "sLaM" their cars. its pointless. it doesn't do ****.u CAN go too low. a real lowering suspension lowers enough to keep the car's handling well. only rice products are all about sUpA sLaMmEd. u might as well get airbags if u just wanna ride on the ground. if u wanna scrape the ground, u obviously dont care much about handling.

who cares if you write down his license plate, its on his car in plain view.
And sport drops are for ****.
And sport drops are for ****.
Do you not realize that people actually do this? Hunt cars down they see online and jack them?
But if he wants to fling it all around...good for him.
Wrong forum i know but this is my input of it. My sedan is lowered with Tokico HP's, Eibach sports,ST drop forks and LCA's. It sits rather low. When i had the wheels in this picture on, '91 CRX Si 14"w/ 185/60/14 alloys it rubbed bad on hard turns and when i had 1 or more rear passenger.
Then I had Del Sol wheels 14"w/ 195/60/14 and it rubbed even worse but i blame it on the 195/60/14 Goodyears as compared to the 185/60/14's on the CRX alloys.
I now have '96 GSR's (blade style) with 195/50/15's and they hardly ever rub. Only on really hard right or left turns and when I have rear passengers but only on big bumps, other than that no rubs at all. Im not sure of the offsets on any of these rims but i was suprised how going from the 14" rims to the 15" made them rub less.
