OK, so I bought my CR X about 3 months ago, and I love most things about it. The drivers and passenger seat covers are tearing apart, and I need new seat covers. The passenger seat is stock, but I don't know what the driver's seat is (I was never informed). I was wondering if someone could tell me what it is, so I know what seat cover to buy for it? And while your at it, is there any place in particular that has good deals for seat covers (and sell them single, not in a pair)? Thanks

Looks like it's an EDM or JDM CRX seat judging from where it says VTEC. USDM CRX's never had VTEC, unless you count the Del Sol as a CRX.

The one from the owner is not a ebay cover. Take a look at the inside that supports your sides. There is a diagonal stiching.. So unless the ebay covers have this stitching they are edm VT seats. Also the innerstitchwork is completely different from those ebay covers.
If they are rare i can't tell. Every crx vt has them

Sorry to bring this back to life again, but I have one last question. If this is the EDM CRX VT seat, then where am I supposed to get the seat cover for it? I googled it and found absolutely nothing. I am starting to wonder if they sell seat covers for it, or would some of those ebay covers work just fine? Thanks

all that is different between the edm seats and the jdm seats and the us si seats build wise is the cloth covering that our backs n butts touch. so OP, yes you can go buy the ebay covers for your seats. not sure if it will work on the passenger side due to the dx seats being different but who knows maybe you will get lucky

 

 

It is NOT a ebay cover.

 

Those side bolsters a way bigger than a standard si seat.

 

First of all, read the link Danthemagicbum posted. It shows the different styles of seats used outside your country.
Next, take a look at my oem Honda "ebay" covers.
Now go ahead and say these are ebay covers. If so, please tell me how Honda managed to buy them 19 years ago, because there was no ebay at that time.
These seats are different from the stock ED9 seats. The sides are thicker and stiffer than the normal seats. They also sit a little bit higher, wich is why some people replace them with ED9 seats.
And yes, I know the difference. I used to have a ED9 before I bought the EE8. So cut it with the disinformation. it's annoying enough to read people talk about EF8's or EF9's when they mean ED's.

To the OP : I doubt there are new seatcovers readily available for that seat. What most people here in the Netherlands do is bring them to a repairshop to get new pieces of leather inserted or a complete make-over. Nobody I know has ever used ebay-covers on this kind of seat.
