I have an extremely simple set up and it's getting close to it being together. After thinking i have a goal of hitting a 9.99999999999999999
A few months ago it wasn't suppose to be this big but oh well.

I think that's all the important items. Is there anything i can add or change to help reach my goal before i put everything in. I do want to do it on the turbo that i have. Power goal is whatever Tony can get out of it. Im sure somewhere between 620-670 or wherever.

It should be doable depending on weight, slicks, and driving ability, we have very similar setups and i am also aiming for the same time 9.999!!!

car weighs 92-95 Ej1 2500 with me in it I dont know what tire size would be the best since this is my first time. I would like 24.5 and i dont see why that woulnt be possible.

 

How well can you drive? I think that is what it will come down to in the end. I know I cant drive if my life depended on it!

 

I think Joe has run 10.0 a few times on the 35r and I think maybe CLM has run into the 9's on it, not sure, but it is definitely possible.

 

Its not impossible on a GT35R but its not going to be an easy accomplishment, that's for sure.

 

Not impossible at all. I have a few customers who have 35r's and the ones who can drive and are dedicated at getting the car setup have gone anywhere from 9.8's to 10.0's consistanly.

Good luck, there is nothing like being able to acheive a goal that you set out for yourself. Especially when its not an easy one.

 

thanks. and im happy with that consistency. I know if i "just upgrade" to another turbo that makes it pretty easy but if i do that then i feel like im just doing what everyone else is doing.

Im fortunate to have a setup capable of taking whatever abuse i can throw at it. I bought a truck this past year to take my car to the track when i choose and pull it where ever, so yes i'm dedicated and i know it wont be easy but i think i can do it with practice,

how do i drive? well on a roll..lol back in the day when i would build a set up just to roll race it. That was easy but this is a diff ball game.

So could i get it on 24.5's? with good driving?

 

It would of been easier with your old T67 but sure you can do it, your short times are going to be the key.

 

yooo anttttttt it is possible butttt it wont be easy... lots of track time and trial and error! its not going to happen first pass out...not only that you are going to need to add a cage or atleast a 5 point because as soon as you go below 11.49 they can start to hastle you... im not sure what its like down in Texas but up here they shut you down quick as soon as you hit 11.49.

figure you will need to trap atleast 140 to run the time Atleast!

 

i already know about getting a cage i just didn't include that.

A friend trapped 144 and ran a 10.1 and i think i will make a tad more hp than him he made right at 600

 

FWIW, didn't somebody run high 9's with a GT3567r and a single cam....seem to remember the cars weight was 2300lbs

 

and had a wheelie bar... apples and oranges
