Default 1.9L ITR motor?

Sorry if this has been asked before, I tried to search but got no results. I was wondering if I can bore the ITR block from 81mm to 84.5mm or would that be unsafe and would require sleeving?

Thanks.

or you can put in ls crank and rods, bore to 82mm and it should yield a 1.9

debatable to me if you can call it an itr after swapping the crank. but it would be cheaper.

Max on stock sleeves is 83, sleeving will be required.

A few people have done it.. you can use a stock HG to 82mm, at 83.. GE sells a gasket for it. But there's been a few builds for 83mm on stock sleeves.
Strictly drag racing tho..your pushing the limits at 83..

Not knockin on you, just my personal opinion ok.

83mm sleeved is common, but personally I would never tell someone to do an 83mm unsleeved or even an 87mm Sleeved B-series, unless the person knows what theyre doing and the consquences of that setup. 83mm on a stock sleeve, really what for? Might as well just get a B20 at 84mm and build that up.

^Yeah I would rather just swap the crank into a B20 block rather than pushing it to 83 and preparing for it to eventually take a poop.
