Default Desmond wheels question

do the desmond regamasters rims have the slit on the side of each spoke? i heard it for cutting the air or sumthing? would this confirm that they are real?

Do the copies like the ssk and the rota slipstreams have the slits on each spoke?

I don't know what they are for, but yes, Regamasters do have the slit and so do Slipstreams. I don't know about drags.

The indentation is more common on the smaller diameter Regamasters, than the 17"+ models. Some Rota's have this indentation as well, so it's not a guaranteed mark of authenticity.

thanks for the replies. so basically my best bet is to basically just remove the tire and weigh the rim itself and see how much they weigh? because these rims are really old and the stickers are all gone and the stamps dont seem to be there. these are 16in 4x100 by the way. so the real ones should weigh about 14 kg?

Remove the wheel from the car, and look at the hub-side of the wheel. There should be a "RUSSIA" or "Made in Russia" stamp.

The easiest way to tell is the russian stamp on the inside. That stamp should be somewhat visible no matter how old they are.
