Default JDM ITR Header vs. a 96-00 civic header

I am doing a swap of my 99 JDM ITR engine into my 99 civic hatch.

I am wondering if the civic header is shorter or if it has a different deck height than the ITR's?

I am asking this on a bunch of different web forums (only once here), since that is the only way to be sure...

A civic header for a D series block? or a Civic Si/etc header?

It says "civic hatch"

That would be a D series.

Someone help me!

yes, but I was thinking you might have a b-series header from a b-series powered civic. D series header wont fit.

It also says "ITR Forum" so they are trying to figure out why you're asking in here. He probably thought you had an ITR hybrid.
He said it was a civic hatch, but a "civic header" so I thought perhaps he had a b-series civic header, but nope

Ok.

Here is my planned setup:

-Tanabe Racing medalion for the civic hatch (already have)
-96-00 Civic 2.5" testpipe (from testpipes.com)
-My JDM ITR header

Is the JDM header going to be any different than the DX header was? Length, height, etc.? Because if it is, then I wouldn't be able to use the civic testpipe.

Know what I'm sayin? Is the testpipe going to fit in there with the ITR header?

Alright, I cleaned up the question a little more, I hope that works.

Sorry for asking in here...

Much clearer now I've never measured a stock DX header so I can't answer those questions with experience, BUT, I'd guess that the height will def be different and the length has a good chance of being different. But if the testpipe ends up being too long a muffler shop will cut/reweld for a very low price.

like I said man, I've never measured a DX one so do not take my statement as the gospel truth. I would just imagine that they'd be different, no fact was written there by me. If you give me the measurements of your DX header I can tell you for sure though.

Edit: just the length that is. The height is kinda useless since you're also comparing motors with different deck heights.

Edit2: I like how hybrid ctr's friend can post my IMs to him in attempts to slam me but when I post IMs of hybrid ctr's friend calling me an idiot when I post something correct it gets deleted. Is that proper moderation hybrid?
