New to forced induction.
Ok, I have a 97 civic hatch. stock motor with an intake.
I dont want to do a swap or anything, I just want some power out of this motor. Im not looking for any crazy numbers. Just a little more hop to its step.
I took some stuff out.
air conditioning
spare tire + hardware
back seatseat belts etc
and just some misc things here and there
so its just a tad lighter.
Well heres question number one.
I hear alot of people " peicing" together a turbo kit. Does that mean you can use any turbo parts for any motor?
My friend has the stock turbo to his wrx because he put a bigger one in. Could I take that turbo and put it on my motor and run like stockish boost? 5-7 pounds.
That should be more than enough power. And then other things like the ic, all the piping tec.
2nd do you have to get a tune running low boost?

lol... snail is a nickname turbo is the real name... no need to clarify.
Yes you can put ANY turbo on ANY car... it's just a matter of whether or not it will work well.
You should check out "homemadeturbo.com" and read a CRAPLOAD of threads on here and of course the Faq and damn near every thread. Then you'll know what to do.
Don't just into a turbo project becaues you have a turbo in front of you for free... that usually ends with 1-3k worth of fall out AT LEAST.
