So me and my friend swapped in a JDM d15b Vtec motor into his 95 EG coupe yesterday. Everything plugged up correctly. When everything was in and plugged, it was ready to be started up. And wow, it started up in the first try!! But here is the problem: It starts up but when I hit the gas pedal it doesnt rev up normally and when you step on the throttle it just bogs and sounds like if its dying and the motor turns off!! It has no throttle response at all!! Could it be because is still running the stock ECU and not the ECU for the new motor?! Please help me out. Me and my friend don't know what else to do other than getthe right ECU?!
When I got my JDM D15B, the distributor was bad. It would start, but would die under load. Not saying thats what is wrong, but do you have another dist. that you know is good to try?

Oh sh** it worked!! My friend accidentaly did switch over the MAP and TPS plug!! And I asked him if he plugged evry harness and plug right and he said "yea". I should've plugged them but he was plugging things from the back and I was finishing bolting up the axles and stuff. I HAD TO PUNCH THAT FOO HARD FOR THAT RIGHT NOW!! Pretty sure he feels really dumb right now, lol!! Thanx "CivicSpoon" for the info!!
