89 CRX will start, depress the gas and will not rev up, i think the term is looping. Cap rotor wires and firing order just updated. Going to cut in front of the cat tomorrow and see what happens....don't want to....HELP any ideas would be helpful.

 

Put your hand over the exhaust to feel for pressure before you start cutting your exhaust up.

 

did that, dont have to cut the cat
