Default 94-97 JDM ITR shift console

I was told that you can not install the JDM shift console in our usdm integras cause the console veers to the right, since their cars are right hand drive. Is this true? Does anyone have knowledge with this topic? As of now im the highest bidder on my friends account and i am about to win it ... i can't really go back on the bid so i wanna make the best of this item. Does anyone thing i could install by doing a lil 'tim the tool man taylor' work? thanks for any hlep.

ps .. here is the link for the item im getting...

even if it did, all you really want is the CF parts which are interchangable.
