I searched the archives and came up with one thread that didn't help me.

I'm just curious about this... We have a 98 Accord EX. The mirrors are fixed. But I've seen other 98-02 cars that have folding mirrors and others that don't. Which years/specs for the 6th gen had the folding mirrors?

I like them better, our 94 Accord LX has them.

FWIW - my 99 coupe has them. I think all the 99+ have folding mirrors, 98s are fixed

 

Yup, they changed after MY98

 

so all american accords before 99 have fixed mirrors???

thats lame, cos my 96 european has folding mirrors, over here i think they started with folding mirrors in 94......

Its to bad that that car manufactures has to have almost completely different cars to make everyone happy =/

it would be alot easier to buy styling and so on from america if our cars were more alike....

well well , cant have everything here in life (almost)

 

98 as far as I know is the only recent year that they had fixed mirrors. all 5th gen accords and 4th gen accords I have seen have had folding mirrors. THe 99 accord I had had them as well. I dont know why honda put non folding mirrors on the 98 but it was obviously not taken well causing them to change them shortly after that.

 

k, then i understand, funny that they didnt do it on the -98 model maybe they were trying to save a buck or two

 

My 91, 02 and my old 97 all had the folding mirrors.

WTF did honda not put them on the 98's????

Anybody know why?
