Default JRSC COMPLICATION

So i got my jrsc d16 running finally but ive got some issues. When i start it it revs up to about 3000 3500 rpm. Then it drops to 1000 and jumps to 2000 then back down to 1000. Now i know that sounds like simple vacuum leak but it gets worse. Ive found all the open vacuums and closed them but theres know difference. So i took off one of the vacuum hoses and put my finger over it and couldnt feel hardly any vacuum in it. I did this with other hoses and had the same outcome. I messed with the bolts that hold on the s/c to the manifold and they were loose. Is there a gasket that goes in between those that goes out often? Im kina stumped right now but i know i can figure it out but i need a starting point. Please gimme somthin to get the wheels turnin. THANKS

Is your bypass valve opening up, as well as shutting properly? It should remained closed until nearly WOT.

Another question, did the d16 run PERFECT before the SC? Is that all you changed, removed manifold and added the JRSC? Or did you change the injectors, ems, etc??

So was the blower actually loose where it bolts to the intake manifold or was the manifold loose where it bolts to the head ? Both surfaces do have gaskets although I and many people just use hondabond on the blower to intake surface .If the bolts holding that blower to the intake were loose then I would start looking there you could always take some carb and choke cleaner and spray it around the areas that may be suspect of leaking and see if it changes the way it runs while at idle .If it changes it / smooths out while spraying it around the gasket areas then you'll find your leak pay attention to the engine while you spray it .Do however be careful what you spray it on . I would try to keep it away from the bypass valve ect that stuff and plastic don't go to well together.

Well it didnt run perfect but it ran ok. I had dual point on it and thats why it ran ok. Whats WOT. Not up to date on the acronyms. The bye pass valve is barley moving. I have it hooked up to a vacuum but i dont know if it right. I have stock z6 injectors in it and a stock p06. I need a tune really bad. That shouldnt affect it that much at idle should it? The bolts to the head are good and tight and theres a new gasket on it. But the bolts on the s/c itself were all loose. I guess ill try the choke cleaner and see what that does. Also im not sure i have the brake booster vacuum hooked to the right nipple. Its on the big one on the top. Thanks for all the help so far.

WOT is wide open throttle and I must say I am a jrsc b series owner and am not familiar with the hose orientation ect. on the d series .There is a thread here for supercharged d series owners. I would say go there post up some pics of how everything is plumbed up and they should be able to help ya with the hoses ect...I would still try the carb clnr trick but make sure everything is hoooked up properly so you dont go fixxing unecessary things that are not the problem .As far as a tune I personally would not drive a jrsc set up without a tune its not worth my engine .

you dont have to add fuel injectors unless your running 10 psi or above

Jackson sells a paper gasket that goes between the blower and the IM. My gasket tore between the top two bolts; I was getting that idle surge, going back and forth from 1000rpm up to 2200rpm, IIRC. I patched it with JB Weld as a short-term fix. After a while, I heard a high-pitched vacuum leak.... those bolts were loose.

I've read that some folks don't use a paper gasket, and just use Hondabond. Good luck!
