Strange Grinding nosie, cannot locate.
Ive got a stock d16y8 motor just hit 98k miles.
Havent changed the timing belts/drive belts or alternator yet.
When I rev up to about 2000rpm in any gear i get this grinding noise coming from the alternator area. It doesnt make this sound when the car is cold but once its warmed up it constantly does it at 2000rpm.
was thinking it was the belts maybe or even the alternator since it hasnt been changed yet.
Was wondering if anyone could help me locate this problem thanks.
