what would be better swapping a k20 into a 00 civic or
just getting a RSX type s

First of all does anybody know wut you need and how much it will cost for the k swap?
im also planning on boosting later on!

Just get the RSX. I'd like to think that the engineers mated that engine to work specifically for the rsx chassis. If you have the $, go for the RSX.

 

A friend of mine swapped the K20 into his EK and spent close to $6k for everything and he's still not done. I mean it runs and he drives it but he's on the DC5 ecu and has an hack'd up ebay header, just swapped his subframe for the EG (not 100% sure y) and some misc. other b.s.

 

I would put a K20 into the EK. EK chassis is lighter and RSX's dont even look that nice. EK's are nicer looking and it will cost less to put a K20 into an EK than it will to buy a RSX.

 

and search before you post...k20s are all ppl are swapping nowadays.

and the eg subframe gives you better ground clearance im pretty sure thats why you need to swap it. correct me if im wrong.

 

k20 into the civic. no brainer. you can do it for less than 5k im sure, just need to look around and what not.

 

I was thinking the EG subframe was for header clearance but ground clearance could also b a part of it.
