Widest, Street use, Summer Tires for 15*7 Lowered Interga
Its for my daily driver, mainly for Dry climate ...no snow issues here!!!!! Not too concerned about performance either....Just needs some decet grip.....Car is lowered on Ground contriols/Koni.
I always liked Azenis but I think its an over kill for my 80 mile commute. Its not cheap either.
What are the suggestions on brand and tire size? thx

width isnt as important as compound. Some good summer tires in 195 and/or 205 are: Bridgeston RE-11, Kumho Ectsa XS, Yokohama S Drive, Michelin PE2, Hankook Ventus RS-2, Dunlop Direzza Star Spec. Im using S Drives right now and theyre not super sticky but they are a good mix of treadwear and dry grip, and quite good in the wet.
-btw Azenis are pretty darn cheap for what you get, they are getting old though and are behind some of these tires.

The best size is either 195/55-15 or 205/50-15; either one can be mounted on 15x7 and will work fine. Width is not important. Choose a tire based on your priorities. The tires mentioned by alphalanos are good recommendations. The Yokohama S.drive is probably the best for your usage, since it is reasonably priced and will last longer than those supersticky tires (20-40K miles, vs 15-20K). For the S.drive, I recommend the 195/55 rather than the 205/50 because the 195/55 is cheaper.
Reason why I wanted a wider foot print os for looks....I persoanlly prefer the wheel/tire combination where the wheels wells are covered/ looks full.
Ex. I had 205 40 16 Azenis on 16" wheels and 205 50 15 Azenis on 15" wheels. With those 16's the integra was looking very "Skinny" where as the lowered looks on the 205 50 15's were greta!!!!

Not necessarily. It might rub, depending on actual size (not just width), offset, etc.
If you don't want rubbing issues, stick with 205/40-17.
That test was really nonsense, mixing some tires designed for dry traction, other tires that are designed for treadlife as well as wet and dry traction, etc. To claim that those tires are best in exactly that order (when different people's different priorities may say otherwise), and to ignore all the many tires that weren't included in that test, are ridiculous.
this test made me LOL some. i really don't see how the 615 is ranked behind the KDW, s drive or 760. it sure isn't for performance. i can understand the rest though. imo they put too much on "ride" and wet performance. i really don't think anyone buying the 615 or xs is considering this tire for deep water performance.
You can't answer the question without knowing exactly what tire size is being used (which might not be the 225/50-15 you mention). There are lots of instances in which a tire of a certain treadwidth can be used on a certain width of wheel, but a different tire size with the same treadwidth can't be used on the same width wheel. For example, most 205/50-15 tires are approved for mounting on wheels 5.5-7.5 inches wide, whereas most 205/45-16 tires can be mounted on wheels 6.5-7.5 inches wide, and most 205/40-17 tires can go on wheels 7.0-8.0 inches wide. As you can see, it's not the same for all tires with the same treadwidth.
