Default 91 CRX - becomes unstable after shifting at high rpm.

I have a CRX SiR and i have been attending to local drags in my area. last day, i found my car being a little unstable and I had to turn the steering wheel to make it going in the correct pathway.

I noticed this clearly when I shifting to the 2nd gear, with the shock emerging as I release the clutch, the car turned a little bit towards lest side, and I had to stop the race cos it was seems to be getting worse.

I checked wheel alignment and theres nothing wrong with that. I had a little unbalanced wheel allignemt problem for a long time cos of a previous accident. But this problem came the last day i took it to drags.

any idea would be highly appreciated.

Called torque steer I'd say w/o any more details. And since it's SiR,alot less than if an unequal length axle/non SiR hondas! (equal lenght axles w intermediate shaft reduces this greatly!)
My 88 turbo'd/vitara'd sedan does this badly when boosting hits hard/spraying) But to the right,so might be something else on your SiR...
But my 88 crx w dohc zc 5 spd trans on a D16 (NA for now-so pretty "torqueless") barely any since equal length shaft) Of course when current crx boost build complete, might be more like sedan then-but don't think nearly as bad.I plan on installing my spare dohc zc FD,and going to equal lenght axles in sedan perhaps to make her more "civil",ha ha...
Tired of my left arm being so sore from "hangin on so tightly" to small *** sparco wheel

sounds like torque steer as they stated. It's normal if you dont have a LSD.

Do you have the stock front crossmember? I would check the condition of your radius rod bushings as well.
