Default need advice on b20 vtec swap

first I just want to say that I allways recieve great advice from this site so thank you for taking your time and reading my post and answering acurately.

I have a friend with a eg hatch with a ls-vtec set up, the head has skunk2 stage 2 cams, dual valve springs, valves, skunk2 pro series intake manifold, short ram intake, itr header, the ls block is completely stock. My question is if I did a b20 block swap can I use the same hasport mounts, head, intake, header, etc? and since they didnt make the b20 before 95 will I have to do a obd1-obd2 harness conversion? will I be able to use the axles, b series trans, and can I use the flywheel and clutch that is allredy on the ls-vtec setup?

yes yes yes
you will need to use a obd1 engine harness if the motor you are installing is obd2

Yes everything will swap right over. If your taking the motor of the EG and just swapping blocks then your good with all the parts you have already. Your gonna use the same harness/mounts/head/header/flywheel/ect. used on the LS/v on the B20/v

Thanks guys i realy appreciate the advice, i do however have one more question, the ls-v setup has the golden eagle (i think thats the company that makes it) ls-v oil line kit in the back of the block, can i just use that on the b20? And what do u guys think of that swP is it a better than the ls-v just going crom one stock block to another?

Yeah you can use the GE LS/v kit on the B20, your just going to need to get a new B20 head gasket from Honda or whatever. B20/v is a nice swap, I had one with bolt ons and CTR cams in a full interior 95 EX coupe and it was nasty, walked modded EVO MR's all day. Make sure you change the oil pump to a vtec pump as well.

vtec waterpump too. non-vtec waterpump has 19teeth on the gear, which makes the paddles churn the water and create bubbles at high speed. the vtec waterpump has 22teeth on the gear, which leads to better water circulation at high rpm (vtec)

Im not sure but I think I had to run a 19T water pump with my B20vtec cause I couldnt find a timing belt that would fit (I also tried all the B series timing belts as well). Like I said im not 100% positive on that cause its been a few years since Ive done one, but I do remember having timing belt fitment issues

first off dont trip on the 19tooth water pump my gsr has one and it spins daily to 9500 rpms, no cooling issues.
now for the swap ur doing it owuld b best to have a gsr head, smaller combustion chambers= more compression. the b16 head is pretty lame imho. the intake runners are really curved and slow the air flow, the gsr is more of a straight shot. I'm sure people are going to throw in then why did honda use them for the type r's, simple answer is high comp pistons with the bigger combustion chamber ='s pump gas friendly. with a gsr head we r talking almost half a point of compression.
