Default Need help Tranny removal 01 Eclipse

Im doing the clutch on a 2001 Mitubishi Eclipse.. axles out all tranny bolts removed all sensors and shift linkage removed. I am going insane trying to get the tansmission off. it feels like the input shaft is 'stuck' .. the arm going into the case is slammed to one side anytime we get a fap (between the block and the tranny) going.. it has to be something to do with the pivot arm and t.o. bearing.. I would greatly appreciate any help as I am going out of my mind trying to get this off.

hey so if anyone is interested.. i figured out that the t.o bearing actually clips into the pressure plate.. as weird as that sounds.. that was causing the problem of the tranny being unseperable. the t.o. bearing is actually like a quick release steering wheel hub. you need to push down on an outer ring with a screwsriver and the bearing will click free.

anyways one problem solved.

cheers
