i know this may sound like a stupid question by it really bothers me

 

there are many differences in those two years. the 87 has two models, the dx witha 1.8 dual carb 100hp motor and the si mpfi 2.0 with a sohc that puts out 110hp. the 87 is kind of boxy in design. very similar, but not really. the 88 has the more aerodynamic look to it with two different motors as well. both are 2.0, one is carbed and the other, the si, is mpfi. i don't know what the carbed model puts out for hp, but the si puts out 135hp. the si is also a dohc. the interior is also much nicer on the 88 than the 87. also, the 88 si is when the prelude started having an option of having the four wheel steering too.

okay can i use a hood off an 88?
because i want to use it to get cleaner lines
plus i am considering putting crx headlights on it instead of the flip up style and putting supra taillight on the back
also i would like to find some gages for it

The accord hood from the 88 lxi should fit but not the 88 lude. I know the bumper will with a lil work. Hope this helps
