get a belt tensioner tool and put it on the bolt on the tensioner and crank it towards you to release the spring pressure

Back from the dead - so you just turn the nut clockwise to get it off and counterclockwise to get it back on? Im not buying a special tool and will just be using a breakerbar/wrench to do this.

The manual doesnt really say HOW to do it, just shows some arrows that are vague as all get out.

Edit: Figured it out - 14mm wrench on the pulley and turn the nut like youre tightening it, this will cause the pulley to move rearwards and you can remove and install the new belt. Its actually pretty easy.
