Good one... you want people to give you information about how to steal Hondas...

You are funny... also just because you use a screwdriver to start the car does not disable the steering lock.

Take it to a shop and have them replace the tumbler for you or worst case the whole column.

sounds like you wiggled the key. to you try and turn the wheel as well? move the wheel from side to side as you are turning the key. other than that think you'd have to take your steering column and ignition apart

just start taking your covers off and pulling screws out that look like they go to the ignition. haven't done it either but just go for it. you'll never learn if you dont try. you probably couldnt mess it up more than it already is. and if your not trying to steal it you should have plenty of time to work on it lol.... sorry had to throw that in

I couldn't care less about what the situation is but I am not going to be the one putting out information on how to go about doing what you are asking. Yes I do know exactly how to do it and there are things you can do to slow down thieves; either way there is an easy way to do what you want but it breaks things. Last time I checked if a cop sees a hanging ignition they will think the car is stolen.

You are just asking for problems kid, so just have a shop take care of it if you do not have the ability to do it yourself.

well i kinda had the same problem with my old Eg. what i figured out after 3 hours on a really sunny day was that, if you unplug the battery and then go turn the key, it will turn front or back and will get out of the ignition, well worked for me never fixed it since i sold it, but if you run in to trouble try it, and see if it works for you

and i bet that they didn't change any parts. all you had to do was turn the steering wheel the opposite direction the wheels are facing and then turn the key. it is that simple. you can say that you have tried that but i am willing that you are young and dont know what you are doing.

I know you already spent $500.00 and had to walk while the car was in the shop.

But I do have to ask a question.

Did you try your "spare" key(s)?

Don't tell me not having spare key(s) cost you $500.00.

where did i call you stupid? now you are jumping to conclusion and making yourself look dumb. all i said is that you must me YOUNG. but anyways we all know how people are on car forums. they said they did this and did that while trouble shooting, but in all reality they did not do anything. they are setting there and gathering all the info and when the time is right then they go try all the suggestions that was handed to them.

Glad you got it fixed wether it was something dumb or not at least its good now. Sucks you had to spend 500 though.I would be a little pissy over that price.
