I am looking to rebuild my d16a6. It will be used for scca autocross STS class. its basically has to be stock except for it can be bored to the manufactures first service limit which I BELIEVE is .020". Please correct me if i'm wrong. Two things. I've never rebuilt an engine before so I'm not sure what NEEDS to be replaced. Second thing is I would like to do it as cheap as possible but still be reliable. I was wondering if you could help me out with some good name brands and add to the needed parts list

Pistons- NPR OK to use?
rings- again, NPR? Does Hastings make them for
Bearings I'm guessing i need to go with Honda on these
wrist pins OK to cheap out here?

Anything else?
Any help is appreciated as this is going to be a learning experience for me.

is there anything wrong with it the way it is? what is your resoning for wanting to rebuild?
