Sup everyone just wanted to share my was suppose to be done 93' SI Hatch project..

Inside:
Personal wheel
shift ****
Nrg short hub n quick release

I've had this car for 3 months now. It was stripped due to theft. Replaced everything. OEM interior cause I got my daughter most of the time so no gutted inter. for now...

Still a lot more parts to come

Well I painted it with in the first month I had it because I have sum experience in painting

All was well then this happened!!!



The paint bubbled cause I used the wrong primer so I had to sand it all down and repaint it again.. Believe me my wife is pissed I have to spend another 400 bucks on material to redo it all over again. 3 weeks of work done the drain.. During the process I decided to check if the old paint was done right.. Wrong... It came off like candy shells.. So I have to really strip it all down..
Believe me stock paint is perfect to just wet sand down, primer and paint.. but... not when the car is repainted b4...I'm gonna paint it Hot Rod black now since I don't have a clue to what color will look best...



So the story goes never assume nothing especially when it comes down to painting.Guess I thought I knew it all just cause I've painted a few b4 this..

that's my Cali Type R 94 GSR.. Don't laugh it's been built b4 the JdM thing came to play..It's Baby Blue with gold pearl..




That's my 95 civic coupe Cadillac Pearl White with gold and platinum pearl. I did all the work myself Eclipse Headlights, S500 Benz Tail,, ETC I still rock her today.. I Painted it House of Colors Root beer but changed the color in a week to the White





I fully polished The GSX-R and painted it Dupont (how ever u spell0" chameleon...

I've been painting for 11 years now and never thought I messed up like that..

Just wanted to share since I never b4.. It's a work in progress..

I Don't have any more of the EF. the pix was taken in 2003.. That thing was a B16 turbo 50 shot nitrous..baby blue with ghost flames..lol ol'school

 

go back to the stock color. looks like either paradise blue green or aztec green. that would be doing this car justice.

I don't think you've read anything did you.. Those other cars where built late 90's early 2000 way b4 you had your license son.. What was in back then is rice today I understand but do you know how to paint do body work drop in a motor without these motor mounts made by hassport avid etc.. I don't think you even know what ZC swaps are and how much b16's cost back in late 90's do you? Telling you all those things makes me realize how old I am and how some you young guys got no respect for the guys who where in the game long b4 JDM took over so your comment is not making me mad at all just disappointed at how you got no respect for how the past has brought to where your at now...

 

Cali itr front got me so much booty from the ladies and the Baby Blue pearl got so much love back when.. ThInk I'm gonna bring it back on my hatch... Maybe not..lol

wow cool i got an ef myself and i also rock those WW kit back in 98-99 and yes back then the whole conversion form other vehicle are so popular. ef with the mr taillight/ integra with the zilvia headlight and who ever rock the supra taillight your car is the sh*t !!! good old picture man!

 

^^I had a EF with a itr headlights, prelude taillights, WW kit, with a tangerine orange paint.. Man I was the shizznit back when, or so I thought..lol The scene has changed so much, people use to give each other props for having a import when they see their peers. Now it's all about bashing the other guy if he's not JDM enuff, or have rare stuff enuff, etc.. It was all about going to the illegals and racing meeting up at various gas stations hanging out all night till the sun comes up.. Etewanda in Ontario was the place to be, down in Daygo it was FireHouse,Kearney Villa, Sorrento.etc.. When there was no Honda Tech all there was is the local performance shop that kept you up to date on the latest trend along with Sport Compact magazine.. The good ol'days

Sometimes I wonder if I should move on to Family sedans like I did b4 when I had 2 G35's a coupe for me, 4 door for my wife and a TSX 6speed for my project and hanging out with old dudes that only talk about old stuff.. Nahhhh.. I woke up from the grown folks stuff and got me another Hatch so I can enjoy life again as a Honda Fanatic not as for some trendy thing some thinks it's all about...

 

Maybe Frost White for the EG...???? or Malono Red???? Give me some ideas fellas...

yeah i feel the same way, since now i m 31yr i cant let go of tuning my honda. eventhogh it's real easy to get jacked plush just got the baby aslo. yeah scene had change a lot like you said , back then is just llower car with the ssr gpo wheels and loud exhaust then you car is the sh*t man..... but hey we are all here cause of our passion of tunning so let get it going man and i think you should go witht the frost white for that eg, back to the basic color!!!

 

Can't go wrong with OEM paint.

My friends came over last night and was talking me out of painting it Hot Rod black.. They threaten to burn my car down if I do..lol... I was tired of my car looking like everyone elses that why... White seems to be on everyones mind so I'm going to have to go with it.... I'll post up more pix when it's done...

 

i like that you made yourself different with all the cars you built man. and im sure your glad you in before all the JDM shnit came to be. and no one does give props anymore to other car enthusiast. just a bunch of dick riders of the guys doing the JDM thing.
