Default advice for cutting painted front bumper

Hey, i need some advice/tips on how i should go about cutting my PAINTED front bumper. i just recently boosted it and i need to cut the bumper to make it fit with the IC piping and i do not want the paint to chip or crack when i cut. i posted this topic in the forced induction section too. all input will be appreciated. thanks

Best results I've seen were done with a Dremel tool. Takes forever, but gives pretty good control. I got in a hurry with the utility knife and kinda overdid one side Knife's ok for the back of fins
I'm jealous of the big ballin' backdoor type Ic's tho....
boost with clean, unmolested bumper

tape line around the area you wanna cut, and scribe it with a sharp razor blade! dremel tool is your friend too.
