FS/FT 98 VW Gti VR6..New paint, leather, clean!
The only reason for me selling this is because I've got my eye on something specific and need some cash to put down on it.
The car is my daily driver and therefore the mileage will be a little higher than posted at time of sale. Currently 165k miles..however NO RUST and only a few minimal scratches..no dents whatsoever.
The car runs great, stops great and is very fun to drive. Those of you who know VWs will appreciate the rarity of this car and know its worth what I'm asking.
Cell: 920-242-5128 ...open to trades
New Parts/ Mods:
-new cat back exhaust..genuine Feels brand muffler, VERY rare..the only one I've ever seen
-New plugs and wires
-K+N air filter, sounds nice.
-FK German Lowering Springs ..2.75 front 2.25 rear...nice stance, rides stiff..but anyone that's owned a lowered car knows this is normal
-KYB Xcel-G struts (about 1,000 miles on this setup) - Car was aligned the day after it was lowered, all within spec
-New Battery
-New strut bearings
-New inner tie rods
-New crank position sensor ($115 part..a common failure on these cars which causes the car to stall..now FIXED and starts everytime)
-New brake pads all around
-New driver's side axle
-New motor mounts (another common failure item on these cars)
-New headlights
-Newer paint (black with a blue pearl..not the best job, but looks good)
-Tires are in good shape..cooper zeons..one is NEW
-Blacked out emblems
-CD Player and wired for subs...will come with 800 watt amp and 10'' sub if I get my asking price.
-BLACK ON BLACK LEATHER..EXTREMELY RARE FOR THE 98 VR6..VERY COMFY AND NO TEARS IN SEATS
-Doesn't burn or leak anything
-New radiator, thermostat and hard piping (the piping is known to crack over time)
-All new fluids...trans, oil, and coolant
-probably a few things I'm missing. This car has been very well taken care of.
THE BADS:
-e-brake light stays on...not sure why, easy fix
-cruise control not working...unit is there, not sure why it doesn't work
-A/C needs a charge. I never use it..this is wisconsin people!
-missing a bit of trim by the sunroof switch...sunroof works perfectly
-The drivers side door card if starting to loosen up near the top with the leather...I should have this pulled tight and fixed by the time of sale.
-small tear (about 1'' in the rear seat)
-missing top portion of side skirts...very common on the MK3...$60 for both OEM i believe.
Asking $3500 obo...LOOKING TO SELL BEFORE WINTER, HOPING TO BUY A FRIEND'S CAR!

puffy door cards..common and easy fix.
