Thanks fellas. A follow up question...

-How important is it to tighten the nuts to spec? I believe some of them have to be tightened to 5lbs/ft and others to 7lbs/ft. I don't feel like buying another torque wrench with that kind of accuracy. Can I just tighten them till snug?

Buy NGK plugs BKR6EVX-11 for example, -11 means already gapped to 1.1mm or .043. So, no need to gap, just check it

Can I practice on your car first?

The part# you listed isn't the stock plugs that the ITR comes with does it? I have NGKPFR6G-11 as the stock ITR plugs. I was only going to buy the gapping tool because I've heard that a lot of the times, the gaps are out of spec.

Right, I just threw the BKR's up there for an example. ( -11 refers to gap size) I haven't come across an NGK plug w/gap out of spec yet, but I do check every one.
Just be careful if adjusting the gap, lots of people crack/break the electrode tips which can lead to big problems down the road.

For the D-series and LS you can...

for the others... you need the tool to make the job so much easier.

All 4 of mine were out of spec but only by a measly .05mm. Out of spec nonetheless.

thats an expensive little valve adj tool. The specs for the intake valve and exhaust valve clearances are different, correct?

I bought the Honda tool and it sucks. Never user it. I just use a wrench and screw driver, though the snap-on tool looks much better then the Honda tool.
