I would start by getting an aftercooler for the JRSC since you're going to be pushing ~12-13psi. Follow that with some ITR cams and adj. cam gears. I can't imagine its that hard to do in all honesty; however, i would have rather gone a small turbo setup in which case you would have made that power easier and without any more lag than your SC...

The beauty of the JRSC is that there is ABSOLUTELY NO LAG. Period. Running a JRSC is just like having a bigger displacement NA motor. You step on the gas, and the power is there. Period. That is the ideal setup for the most part in autocross, and with the AWD, it's perfect!

Matt,

I know it's a huge thread and will take a while to read through it, but all the info you need is here. There are several builds exactly as you describe in this thread:

for auto x, an aftercooler is a must, no real exceptions. you'll need a smaller SC pulley to fit under the ef MC, if its a usdm b18c1, try raising the compression a bit to around 10.6-11 the highest. the gsr intake cam and type r exhaust cam combo (might have them switched around) has been shown to make some decent power with some cam gears. if i'm not mistaken, i believe the JRSC's like more displacement so if you can bore it to 2.0 then you might gain a few more HP and last but not least, port and polish everything including SC. the "endyne" mod might gain you a few more HP as well.
EDIT: a kamikaze header with 2.5" straight pipe is also a god investment, lht i believe is also producing a nice header for us jrsc guys.

thats some good info guys i might have a lead on a 2.0 gsr bottom end for $400 has a spun rod bearing but i think its gunna be as easy as a new rod and maybe turn the crank if it even needs that.

thanks jaker ill read all that tomarrow i just got home and rob the internet from the coffee stand near my place and i realy dont feel like doing anything but sit at home im pooped. i called u tonight i found a wagon in a junkyard here that has a good tranny in it i know u love those things!

i have a mani and a t3/t4 turbo but i used to autocross my single cam 4wd wagon with a t3 and even with that lil guy the lag was a PITA besides ive had turbo b and d motor and even some nos back in the day i want to try a SC out and see what they are or arent all about.

300 is pretty much max for the m62 blower as said previously the jrsc has major heat issues so the LHt mod is a must as far as I am concerned especially for auto x . I have a b18c1 with the lht intake mod ,the lht header ,toda cam gears , Itr exhaust cam, gsr intake ,mvm stepper pulley , currently a 2.25 tanabe exhaust 3' exhaust is currently in transit with ups should be here next week ! the engine is 100 % stock Last time on the dyno I put down 260 hp with 206 trq . Cant wait to see the results with the new exhaust and t-body. The car is an absolute blast to drive "NO LAG ." recently we had a huge VW meet in town and I can tell you every single VW I saw was in my rear view mirror what fun !! there were a few that could very well have pulled on me but they just couldnt get traction .The lsd helped as well as a new set of drag radials .I hate a VW s anyway and some of them are some really rude kids that drive em they had **** on thier windows like f..k honda . f..k jdm , all sorts of **** ! driving through town in a honda they were yelling hit v tech and all sorts of **** . Well lets just say my jrsc hatch made me dam proud to be drivin that v tech honda .

Recipe for easy 300whp using JRSC:

1.) K20A2/K20Z1
2.) JRSC
3.) 3" blower pulley
4.) Good header
5.) Big exhaust
6.) Tune

Done.

vw kids are just pissed that they get beat all the time

well...that and some of the honda tools who drive dumped cars with a d15 & a HUGE muffler that think they can beat everyone

they have two reasons to hate honda

By the end of the weekend I put a peeing calvin sticker on my back window and printed out a vw symbol and placed it under calvin LMAO it did not go over well with the vw s F>>K Em

heres my new setup in mind rebuilt b18c-1 short block 9:1 comp. no sleaves!
stg 2 ported b16 head, hondata im gasket might double it if i extend the studs!, sk2 pro 1 cams will be used first then will try itr/gsr cam combo if good results arent found,
mvm pulley, b20 crank pulley, 3.8'' nose = aprox. 14psi, lht upgrade, small tube hytec tri y rep. header, 3'' catback, 770 or 440 rc injectors,68 mm tb, double hondata gasket on tb,comptech ice box with small intercooler fabed. hondata s100, i hope to hit near 290-300hp at churches but well see im running a complete high comp. b18c-1 on 5psi tuned at 230hp!, the high comp. isnt working to well for boosting iat's are to high, gonna go and build a potent low comp. motor for the jrsc this time.

No, actually you can't.

Short of more displacement or nitrous 300-320whp is about the limit for a supercharged, M62-powered K20.

man i cant wait i think for starts ill go with a used un-modified jrsc with about 11lbs, bigger TB, gsr intake cam itr exhaust cam, 550's, move my intake springs to the exhaust then get itr intake springs, head studs, cam gears, and a good tune sounds like i can get a decent 240ish with that set-up then when she gets old start by sending the SC off to get rebuilt port and polished along with an after cooler then play with the compression ratio a bit. i cant wait the car is a blast to drive like it is. today im gunna swap the outer axle joints out in the rear and fix the inner boot on one its got a slice in it. ive got another shifter from a wagon thats a lot tighter than mine should make it feel a lot better. again tahnx for all the info guys glad im back in the game again

We're talking an M62.

An M90? Sure.

A Lysholm 1600AX? Been there, tuned that. (374whp/272wtq)

But as I stated, a JRSC, M62-based K20 caps out around 300-320whp. Aftercooler, meth, you name it.

i know ive seen nearly 300 on a b-series before, i believe member jadkar has gotten close, i assumed a k would soar past that, its just difficult to accept 320 as a tops...

Feel free to look around.

Take that mentality to the Supercharger Ninjas over at CRSX and see what they say.
