BMC CDA Induction Kit vs Mugen for EK? - pics included
Hi all,
I just wanted to ask if anyone has ever installed or had experience with a BMC CDA induction kit fitted to an EK?
I'm not sure I'm convinced on the intake pipe, it has a lot of ripples on the tubing which doesn't exactly provide for the smoothest airflow. Some feedback says it has good overall performance across the rev range, however not so much in the top end - like a CAI might have:

Or are you better off getting a Mugen airbox:

and just to give you a benchmark - this is a dyno sheet with the CDA filter:
It shows an increase of: 4.4 kilowatts (about 6 BHP) and a firm increase in power from about 2800 rpm across the mid-range to the top-end at 7500 rpm:

The technology used in the CDA intake is apparently used by the current Brawn FI team and was used in the Audi LeMans
