just swaped gsr and smokin
Hey everyone i just dropped my GSR in my EG...i changed out the pistons to type-r and thast about it...i put some old old cracked headers i had lying around, cuz i dont have any at the momment when i finally start the car for its first time it starts to smoke from the headers a thin white layer of smoke...help me out....plus everytime i rev my speedometer jumps like if it was the tack ....hit me up and help me thanx a bunch....
you have to ask solid questions.
the smoke, if it goes away is header burn off. if it continues and is white it's a blown HG which is actually quite rare on a GSR since they are MLS. grime in assembly or someone trying to reuse the head gasket and or a warped surface or a combo of all could be that issue.
can't guess on the jumping, wrong year cluster, something unplugged. too many things to troubleshoot without knowing more

idrivesideways---my spark plugs are like charcoal black and i looked down the spark plug journal and looks like oil in the piston...could this be valve seals???
charcoal is rich. wet slime is a problem. if you smell oil or see any it's rings, guides or seals. however, the first couple hundred miles the rings are seating so oil in the chamber can happen. if it doesn't clear up in 500 miles then something is up.
