Default All Ground controls for koni's have an inner lip?

Well maybe im just stupid but i think i got sent the wrong ground controls for my koni's. Everything showed up today, ground controls in box, koni's in their own. Went to put everything together and something just wasnt right. I started looking around here and the net and everyone's ground controls had inner lips that were made to sit on the koni's. Mine dont, they will just slide all the way down the shock.

So i thought before i called ground control and told id make sure im just not a complete idoit and missing something. Set up is for a 2000 ek. I dont use the spring holder thing that come witht he koni yellows do i? I didnt think i did, i thought thats why the ground controls were made with an inner lip.

Just use the chrome spring perch that came with the Konis.I had to do this because first I took off my GC/Tokico blues set up for Ksports. When the Ksports blew,I decided to get some Koni shocks and reuse the GC springs.Of course the GC collars aren't Koni specific, but they still work just fine because the spring perch is included in the box.

I don't know if it's a matter of cost, but unless you are showing off your suspension to people (which I'm sure that you aren't),then it really doesn't matter. There is the point of getting exactly what you paid for though. So unless you are in a big rush to get your set up on,then you probably should send them back and ask for the proper parts that you ordered.
