Default HELP removing oil pump

i had an oil leak so tore apart the whole timing side, took out every bolt i can see droped the oil pan and removed the oil screen...and the pump doesnt budge at all...i read in the manual and it said to put it at TDC well i already ripped everything off b4 i saw that...will that affect anything if it isnt at TDC?? wat could possibly b holding it in place?

It's hondabonded quite well to the block. There are some spots on the outter edge of the pump you can stick a screwdriwer in and pry.

HondaBond FTMFWbbQ! Man the internet is fun. After double checking that you removed the bolts 2 times, find an exposed cast-in tab on the oil pump and put a piece of wood on it and whack it with a mallet. It'll pop free. The TDC stuff is bogus. The inner pump "gear" is just a ring that goes around the crankshaft snout.

um, take off the BS gears then. If it's not the hondabond it's a bolt. Find ALL the bolts and pull them.

you need to take all the BS gears off or it won't come off. IIRC the little bolt is for a cover on the other side that keeps the oil pump gears in.

if nothing else you can try to drive a razor blade in one of the seams and try to wedge it apart. Otherwise it just takes elbow grease and to pry it apart once all the bolts are out.

which bs is moving? if its the one on the right in the second picture there should be a service port on the back of the block. Its just a bolt take it off and you can stick a screwdriver or long bolt in there to lock the bs in place.

I pull the oil pump with the rear balancer shaft as the gear is torqued quite strong (if the oil pump will remain later).
