Default help with lowering my car please!

Hey, im new to honda-tech and also new to cars. I recently bought a 99 integra and it came with rota d2 and coilovers. Itss lowered but i wanna get it slammed or atleast tucked in half a tire. I was wondering how i could slam it. Is 16" rims too big to have it tucked in or should i get 15" rims. Also what are the steps i need to do to slam it. I was told by someone that they need to take my inside mudguards off and grind my fenders to make it smooth. Do i have to do all that and if itake the mudguards off, wont water go inside the hood and engine? Thanks

is it lowered all the way already? if not then just turn the lock nuts to get it as low as possible.

no its not lowered all the way. its just lowered to wear tire barely covers the fender. i want to drop it even more like have my tires tucked it, but as i was lookin at my tires and fender i can see that there is a plastic black mudguard under my fender and it looks like if i lower it alittle more then the tires would touch it. i just want to know whats the steps i have to do to slam it

I wouldn't recomend slamming your car. Although it will look great, you'll regret it later. When you slam your car and you daily drive it chances are, even with good suspension you'll tear up your struts. It may take a little while but it will happen.

Another thing to be aware of before doing this is if the car doesn't have a camber kit on the front and the rear you will eat tires up fast, real fast. A new set of tires might last you 2-3 months.

If you do decide to do it, I wouldn't take the inner fenders out bc you will get water, dirt, and all kinds of road grime in your engine bay and on your door sills.

To lower the car with coilovers: The coilovers should have come with 2 wrenches that look like a half moon with a handle (these fit on to the nuts on the sleeve). Get the car off the ground first. (you should be able to do this whole process with the wheels on but it will probably be easier to take them off) each spring has a sleeve inside it and 2 nuts that are tightened together on the sleeve.. first you have to loosen the outter nut (the one further away from the spring) down to your desired ride height then the second one. Then you have to tighten the 2 nuts together so they don't move once the car is back on the ground and moving. Remember though, moving the nuts a half inch on the sleeve will lower the car more like an inch. When your happy with where the car is sitting measure from the ground to the fender (on a level surface) and make sure the measurement is the same from left to right. It wouldnt hurt to set a level on your door sill to make sure the back isn't way different from the front (a little bit won't hurt).

Oh yea if you slam your car... You will probably have to roll (bend the inside lip up) your fenders.

Its all pretty easy
