Hey guys I got a greddy 18g turbo and looking to boost my stock LS , was wondering if this turbo is good enough to make 250whp... someone told me the most i'd see is 200... just want to see what you guys on h-t have to sayy

i pushed my stock gsr with the greddy 18g to 293 whp back in the day @ 12psi.

 

Really? Sounds good, cuz ive talked to a few guys some guys say they'd go bigger one guy said i'd probaply only put down 200... then sum guys on h-t said the 18g is more then enough

 

With a proper tune, making 300whp is not out of the question with that turbo and not out of the "safe" range for your stock block. If you have access to E85, you could push it further and shoot for something in the 350whp range. Just know that mid-400s have been reached on stock GSRs with E85 and daily driven....every time i see one i regret building my engine

The Greddy kit for those cars don't really have a huge snail on them.

I think you might confuse him with the mid 400s being reached (with his stock LS and greddy kit). I am not sure but I don't know of many people with a greddy setup doing mid 400s. ESPECIALLY on an LS

^^Oh yeah...i'm not saying the Greddy kit will hit those numbers, just that its safe for him to push his stock setup into the mid 300s with a good tune. His turbo will run out of breath long before he starts pushing past 425whp...I'd be sad if he did make those numbers...not only is that turbo much cheaper than mine, he's also on a stock block and would make more power lol....damn electronic boost controller....

 

Hahaha as long as I can reach my goal of 250whp this upcoming season with this turbo I will be happy

im new to the turbo stuff ive never had a boosted car always all motor and my brother is helping me build hes an all motor guy too so were trying it out lol
